Devananda Giri from Canada has studied yoga from his youth.He spent over 12 years living in India studying different
aspects of yoga practice and philosophy.He is a disciple(tudi) of Swami Prabhananda Giri of Trivandrum Kerala ,India of the International Spiritual Association and Yoga Institute(ISAYI).He studies every year with his yoga master Mahyar Raz in Toronto, Canada at the Toronto Iyengar Yoga Centre.He teaches an ecclectic mix of Iyenagar Yoga,Hatha Yoga and Kundalini Yoga.Devananda Giri is a Doctor of Chinese Medicine(TCM)specializing in Acupuncture and Shiatsu Massage.He is also an accomplished Taiji/Taichi practitioner and teacher,of Yang and Chen Styles.I offer group classes at our yogashala/yujiaguan in chengdu,sichuan province.I also teach private yoga classes in home.I teach yoga teacher training programs and also offer taichi,taijiquan classes .Please call for more information. In our beginners' courses we teach 12 basic asanas, the sun salutation and basic breathing exercises. Focus is on relaxation
and stress relieve. Times for the beginners courses are flexible - please contact us. After having passed our beiginners' course you will be welcome to join our open classes. Our outdoor weekends offer asana classes as well as talks about yoga tradition and philosophy. Private tuition and company courses can be arranged.
