Indigo Yoga offers Beginners Yoga Classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays which set's a unique platform for newcomers to learn how to do the basic postures and sun salutations.

At Indigo Yoga we believe that doing it right from the beginning will prevent injury and encourage a deeper and more fulfilling and consistent practise in the long run. We believe that if you take the time to get to know your body and are corrected in your practise from the beginning you will have a more enjoyable and healing experience. Come and find yourself. Indigo Yoga's teachers are all trained internationally and qualifies for RYT200 yoga accreditation by the yoga alliance.

KIDS YOGA: Through various games, postures, breathing exercises & relaxation, I assist children to centre themselves & find balance in their bodies, hearts & minds. There are various techniques that I use to assist children with ADD, balancing both hemishperes of the brain, through games... fun fun fun!!!

Recommended by most doctors and midwives, prenatal yoga offers a multitude of benefits to both mother and baby throughout pregnancy, during birth and beyond: Joint exercises - perfect for poor circulation, swelling/water retention and excellent to improve mobility. Also enhances squatting and other birthing positions.
Gentle Stretching - maintains supple and toned muscles.
Breathing – balances the autonomic nervous system which regulates the major systems of the body and controls hormonal secretions. Deep breathing increases the intake of oxygen to both mother and baby. ‘Birthing breaths’ aid in the preparation for a calm birthing.
Yoga Nidra - Blood pressure is also lowered and during this relaxation technique and one gains the equivalent of 4 hours deep sleep. Yoga Nidra also promotes inner communication with your child and assists in releasing any impressions associated with the fear of birthing.
In addition, by developing a deeper awareness of your body, a powerful connection between a mother and her child is established.
Vibrant Vinyasa is a fast-paced, fun and flowing style for a more balanced body and mind. Currently there are 3 morning
classes a week, I teach out of Northcliff Karate Academy. Our yoga teaching combines the traditional classical austanga yoga with a modernized version from Ananda Marga's founder,
Shrii Shrii Anandamurti. Our classes start for the very beginner up to the advanced. Newcomers are welcome.The class style is basic and gentle with lots of pauses in deep relaxation pose. Yogic dances, self-massage and yogic meditation are part of our classes along with simple theory related to yoga, meditation and spirituality. Our individualized approach aims to remove the obstacles that prevent the practitioner from experiencing higher meditation practice. Asanas are taught as a type of therapy, based upon their indirect effects on the cakras and direct effect on the endocrine glands Rajadhiraja Yoga).
I believe that yoga can help to balance your life. Yoga teaches focus and more control over your body, ultimately aiming
for unity of mind, body and soul. I believe in teaching from my own experiences and my own growth and in always being a student. The amazing thing about yoga postures is that every time you do a posture you can go deeper, your muscles allow a little more and then to focus on the breath and these small changes helps improve your overall focus.
