We are a Buddhist Hatha yoga teacher training school, teaching yoga from the context of Buddhist teachings, including
comprehensive teaching on meditation and Buddhist awareness practice. Our courses follow a curriculum that is ratified by the IYN (Independent Yoga Network) which allows students, once qualified, to get insurance and register with the IYN.
Of the many approaches one can take to yoga, the emphasis on mindfulness, looked at from a specifically Buddhist context, will show us how the process of yoga is one of self transformation. Within our training context, our students learn to meditate effectively, gaining the correct knowledge and understanding of how the mind works. The student teachers will then have the confidence to teach meditation,as well as classical Hatha yoga, once qualified.
Our courses are Module based. Module I is 200hr and Module I & II brings you to the 500hr level. Our trainings take place in retreat contexts in Spain and Scotland. The three venues that we teach from are all Buddhist run and have an emphasis on communal living, meditation and co-operation on the basis of kindness and awareness. Simple living and intimacy with nature are part of our training.
