Hiyala's specialty is working privately with clients who have limited range of movement due to injuries or illness. At Body Prayers, Yoga is not so much a physical exercise as much as a study of our human bodies thru movement, breath and awareness. Hiyala's teaching style is influenced also by her 18+ years experience as a massage therapist. She uses gentle hands-on assists and her touch is very healing. The breath is emphasized as a way to relax into the poses. Hiyala also teaches Pilates, paints soul portraits, does ear candling and Reiki and massage. new client special: an hour "relaxation style" massage booked at least a day in advance is $39+tax. Renee teaches at various locations in the St.Croix Valley, you will find her in Stillwater,MN., Bayport,MN. and Hudson,
WI. Renee has been a longtime advocate of health and wellness as a nurse and community health educator in the past to her current role as a full time yoga teacher. She has taught a variety of ages from 4-80yrs. All classes begin and end with meditation. Breath and alignment are essential elements. Renee offers classes that are encouraging, fun and interesting by challenging your mind and spirit as well as your body. Rene holds a 200 hr. YA teaching certificate. She is currently working towards her 500 hr. certification.
Our classes focus on basic yoga postures with emphasis on proper alignment. In our vinyasa style class, poses flow
from one to another blending balance, strength, flexibility and power. Throughout the class, postures will be broken down with instructor demonstrations. The class environment is relaxing, non-competitive, non-judgemental and is well suited for beginners, the older student and those who are building strength.
Classes are taught in several styles - Restorative, Vinyasa, hatha yoga, yoga for men, Yoga Nidra. Experience greater
flexibility, relief from neck, shoulder and back pain, reduced stress, greater energy and clarity, deeper sleep and a deep sense of well-being. Meditation classes are also offered. Individual and one-on-one classes also available.
